Emarsys is a marketing automation platform that provides various tools for email marketing, mobile marketing, web personalization, and customer data management. Integrating Emarsys with Antavo facilitates a smooth exchange of customer data between the two platforms. This integration empowers loyalty managers to craft targeted marketing campaigns for their customers, boosting engagement and fostering loyalty.
To access the configuration interface, navigate to the Modules menu and search for Emarsys integration in the list.
Configuring the Antavo – Emarsys connection
To set up the Emarsys integration, you'll need to input your Emarsys API username and password. You can obtain these credentials from the Emarsys platform, specifically from the Security settings section settings.
Customer synchronization
Once you’ve established the connection, you can choose Emarsysl from the list of integrations to specify the customer data you want to synchronize from Antavo to Emarsys..
Click the Add new field + button to configure the field synchronization between the two systems.
The dropdown in the left column labeled Loyalty fields shows the fields available within Antavo
Remote fields represent the equivalent fields in Emarsys
Add more field mappings by adding new rows at the bottom
Click Save
After saving, data from Antavo will be sent to Emarsys to update contact data. The list of contact fields is retrieved from your Emarsys account.
To reset a field pairing, you must first delete it by clicking the trashcan icon.
Segment synchronization
Synchronizing segments from Emarsys enables the use of Emarsys segments in Antavo, populated with loyalty customers.
To accomplish this, click the Import segments button located in the top-right corner of the Customer Insights page. You will be presented with a list of segments available in Emarsys. Upon selecting a segment, contact synchronization commences. Since this process may take some time, the Management UI notifies you upon completion of segment synchronization.
Segment sync occurs daily to ensure that the lists remain up-to-date.
Only customers who are already members of your loyalty program can be synced to loyalty segments; non-loyalty customers cannot be included.
Once synchronization is complete, the segment functions like any other in Antavo. You can then locate the segment under the Emarsys section of the segment list in Customer Insights and select it.
Configuration of the segment caching service is necessary for successful segment synchronization. Before initiating segment sync for the first time, please contact the Antavo Service Desk to verify that the service is functioning as expected.
External events
The External Events tab provides access to Emarsys' external events, allowing you to specify which customer actions should trigger them. These events are derived from the events available in your Emarsys account.
