# Social accounts

The Social accounts module offers an interface where you can input your social media app credentials. This enables Antavo to request permissions from customers and send API requests to social media sites. These actions facilitate rewarding customer interactions within the loyalty program, as per your configuration settings.

To access the configuration page, open the Modules menu and search for the Social share module. The page will open to the interface where you can input your social media credentials.

### Facebook

The credentials of your**Facebook app** are necessary to offer one type of point-earning option:

- [**Social follow**](/v1/docs/social-follow) To enable customers to **connect their Facebook account** to their loyalty program, you’ll need the credentials of your **Facebook app**. This allows the app to require permission from customers on behalf of Antavo to access their Facebook profile data and link it to their member profile. Consequently, customers can earn points, and Facebook profile information can be incorporated into loyalty customer fields. The `activities/earn` [Display API endpoint](https://developers.antavo.com/reference/get_customers-customer-id-activities-earn) provides a URL you can share with customers to grant permission and connect their profiles.

Ensure you tick the **App reviewed** checkbox if Meta has reviewed and approved your app. Antavo cannot use apps that have not undergone review.

### Twitter settings

You’ll need to provide the credentials of your **Twitter app**, to facilitate the two types of point-earning options for customers. These options include:

- [**Social follow**](/v1/docs/social-follow) The app will request **permission from customers** on behalf of Antavo to access and manage the list of accounts they follow on Twitter. This permission allows Antavo to **complete specific actions** via API calls. Consequently, customers earn points for following your Twitter account. To facilitate this process, the `activities/earn` [Display API endpoint](https://developers.antavo.com/reference/get_customers-customer-id-activities-earn) generates a URL that you can share with your customers which enables them to grant permission and connect their profiles, thereby earning points for following your Twitter account.
- [**Social share**](/v1/docs/social-share) The app will request **permission from customers** on behalf of Antavo to **post links of pages****and perform sharing actions** via API calls. This permission enables customers to earn points for sharing content on their Twitter feed.

### Google+ settings Deprecated

The Google+ connection capability has been **deprecated**, so this configuration option is no longer accessible.

### Instagram settings

The credentials of your **Instagram app**, created under your Facebook Business account, are required to enable customers to participate in Instagram contests and have a chance to win prizes.

- [**Instagram contests**](/v1/docs/instagram-contests)**** The app will request **permission to access the activities** on your Instagram page through your Facebook Business Account. Once connected, you can configure contests, and the Entry logs of the contests will **display contest entries** retrieved from your Instagram page.
