# FAQ

## Getting Started

**Q: Do I need to set up the database connection myself?** A: No. Your workspace is automatically connected to your Loyalty Engine database. You can start working with your data right away.

**Q: What is the onboarding questionnaire for?** A: The questionnaire captures your loyalty objectives and preferences. Timi AI uses this information to suggest relevant goals, KPIs, and chart types tailored to your program.

---

## Data & Charts

**Q: How often is the dataset updated that Timi AI uses?** A: The dataset is directly linked to your Loyalty Engine. Updates happen automatically as new transactions and behaviors occur. There’s no manual refresh needed.

**Q: Why do my charts sometimes look different when I run the same prompt again?** A: The data may have changed since the last time. If you want a fixed snapshot, include an end date in your prompt (e.g., “ending on 2025-09-22”).

**Q: Can I download the data behind a chart?** A: Yes. Open the **…** menu on a chart and select **Download data as CSV**.

**Q: Can I export a chart as an image?** A: Yes. Use the **…** menu and select **Download as image** to save a PNG file.

**Q: Can I rearrange charts on my dashboard?** A: Yes. Drag and drop charts using the handle in the top-left corner of each chart card.

**Q: Can I upload my own dataset to Timi AI?** A: Not directly. Timi AI works with the Loyalty Engine dataset connected to your workspace.

## Analyses

**Q: Can I request more detail in an analysis?** A: Yes. Hover over a section and click the magnifying glass icon to get a further explanation.

**Q: Can I edit an analysis?** A: Yes. Hover and click the pencil icon to change the text manually, so you can adjust wording or add your own notes before sharing.

**Q: Can I export an analysis?** A: Yes. Click **Create Presentation** to generate a .pptx slideshow that includes the summaries, charts, and recommendations.

---

## Goals and KPIs

**Q: Can a goal exist without charts?** A: Yes, but it won’t be useful. A goal without charts has no data to analyze, make sure to generate at least one chart to start working with it.

**Q: How flexible is the connection between goals and KPIs?** A: The relationship works both ways. A single goal can be assigned to multiple KPIs and one KPI can be linked to multiple goals.

**Q: Can I remove a KPI from a goal or chart without deleting it?** A: Yes. Editing a goal or chart lets you unassign the KPI while keeping the KPI in your KPI list.

**Q: Can a KPI be linked to more than one goal or chart?** A: Yes. A KPI can be assigned to multiple goals and multiple charts, allowing you to keep related measurements consistent.

**Q: Can I delete a KPI?** A: Yes. Deleting a KPI removes it from the list, but does not delete the connected goals or charts.

**Q: Why didn’t a chart appear when I linked a KPI to a goal?** A: A chart is automatically created only the first time a KPI is linked to a goal from the KPIs menu. If the KPI has already been connected to another goal before, Optimizer won’t generate a new chart automatically, it will just add the link between the KPI and the new goal. If you link a KPI to a goal from the Edit Goal page, the chart won’t be generated automatically. You can still create one manually within the goal’s dashboard if needed.

## Working with Timi AI

**Q: Can I ask follow-up questions in Timi AI?** A: Yes, within the same goal. The chat keeps context inside a goal, so you can refine queries step by step. Switching to another goal starts a new context.

**Q: How do I reset the conversation with Timi AI?** A: Use the **Clear chat** button. This removes the current context and starts a fresh session inside the same goal.

**Q: Why does Timi sometimes pick a chart type I didn’t expect?** A: The chart type is chosen based on the data structure. If you prefer a different one, edit the chart and switch the type manually.

**Q: Can Timi AI handle segmentation, like by customer tier or channel?** A: Yes. Just include the segmentation in your prompt.

---

## Quick Explore

**Q: What is Quick Explore for?** A: Quick Explore lets you create charts with Timi AI without assigning them to a goal. It’s useful for experimenting or when you’re not yet sure what you want to measure long-term.

**Q: Can I move a chart from Quick Explore into a goal?** A: Not directly. To use a Quick Explore chart in a goal, recreate it by running the same prompt inside that goal.

**Q: Can I assign a Quick Explore chart to a KPI?** A: Yes. Charts created in Quick Explore can be assigned to a KPI, even before linking them to a goal.

**Q: Does Quick Explore keep context like a goal does?** **A:** Yes. Quick Explore keeps the context of your conversation, so you can refine queries step by step until you reset it with the Clear chat button.

## Troubleshooting

**Q: What if I delete a chart by mistake?** A: Deleted charts cannot be restored. You’ll need to re-run the query in Timi AI.

**Q: My chart looks empty or incomplete. Why?** A: This usually means the dataset doesn’t have enough data for the timeframe or metric you requested. Try adjusting your prompt to use a broader period or different measure.

**Q: Analyses don’t seem to reflect the newest data. Why?** A: Analyses are static once generated. To update them, run a new analysis on the latest chart data.

**Q: Timi AI didn’t respond. What should I do?** A: Try refreshing the page. If the problem persists, contact the Antavo Service Desk.

**Q: My chart doesn’t look right. How can I fix it?** A: Check your prompt. Be precise about the metric, timeframe, granularity, and chart type. You can also edit the chart afterward to adjust the display.
